On Thursday, Dec 1st, we had a meeting at our lawyer's office to sign the paperwork to allow us early entry into the house before closing. In this meeting, we found out we needed to do a final walk-through that very afternoon, or our early entry would be postponed. Surprise, final walk-through was moved up to THAT day! (This was one of many surprises we have encountered through the house-buying process.) Ashley called our realtor immediately, who is one of the most flexible people we know, and she gladly met us at the new house.
We arrived at the house in pure excitement! We, of course, took the classic pictures by the sold sign!

We spent almost three hours completing our walk-through. Now... this definitely seemed to be an exorbitant amount of time, but The Keisers are thorough! (and Ashley... is a talker.) During our walk-through we learned some important things. 1 - a house looks very different when it's empty and 2 - there will be more to fix than you realize.

Although we looked the house over from top to bottom, we realized there were areas that needed some TLC. As we completed our walk-through, we realized that there were several large items that the previous owners had left in the house and garage. Thankfully, a friend of the owner swung by to help gather most of it that night. He was a great guy, who offered to help us out with anything we needed.
It was a late night, but we were excited to start our adventure in our new house on Saturday!
